Middle Embedded Software Engineer at Sigma Software

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are looking for a skilled Embedded Engineer to join our growing team and support customers in delivering IoT-driven solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of experienced Embedded Engineers to design and implement high-quality solutions that address real-world challenges. This role suggests working with embedded systems, cloud connectivity, and modern communication technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

– 4+ years of experience with C
– Experience with cloud connectivity applications, including monitoring and Firmware-Over-the-Air (FOTA) solutions
– Strong background in communication technologies such as LTE, BLE, OpenThread, MQTT, and cybersecurity
– Knowledge of Embedded Linux
– Practical experience with Zephyr RTOS
– Experience in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems, including software debugging on real devices (using J-Link, ST-Link) and resolving system-level issues
– Upper-Intermediate level of English
– Would be a plus Hardware knowledge
– Experience with Docker, GitLab, and Jira

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Design separate components, modules, classes, devices
– Code, debug, document, and maintain portions of software and hardware
– Perform different types of testing
– Participate in estimation and planning sessions
– Contribute to the development of technical project documentation and user documentation
– Provide assistance to test engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues of software installation and its operation
– Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings with the Customer and Customer partners
– Comply with the best engineering practices, technical standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project
– Report status and progress according to the project and company demands
– Spot current deficiencies in the development process, adopted procedures, and engineering practices, environment configurations, etc., and suggest improvements
– Escalate technical issues to the Architect, Team Lead, and Project Manager
