ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with solid knowledge of the Linux OS and a strong understanding of networking protocols to join a long-term project at PLVision. In this position, you will be a part of an experienced team, enabling the SONiC (Open Network Operating System) LTS (Long Term Support) product PLVision offers to its customers. Your role will focus on product quality assurance through validation scope extension and validation automation.

REQUIREMENTS

– Deep understanding of QA methodologies
– At least 2 years of Test Automation experience (Python/Ansible/Bash)
– Strong understanding of OOAD
– Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
– Experience with CI methodology and tools (Gerrit, Jenkins, etc.)
– Knowledge of Linux as a working environment
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Enable regular quality evaluation for networking products by building and maintaining a stable test environment
– Extend test coverage for new product features
– Perform SONiC/SAI software testing for a set of platforms
– Analyze requirements, test plans, and test case documents
– Run test regressions for the product line and maintain test results documentation to assist in software debugging and modification
– Implement new test suites and test cases to extend regression coverage for new product features and protocols
– Develop, modify, and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and testing programs
– Develop efficient tools and scripts to automate build and test environments
– Assist the engineering team with build issues, troubleshooting build dependencies, and incremental build differences
– Maintain and support the systems and tools necessary to build, integrate, and test a software system
