ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is a leading U.S. fashion retailer, offering apparel, footwear, beauty, and home goods. It operates 350+ stores and robust online platforms, combining in-store and digital experiences. We’re looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer to join the Personalization department supporting large-scale customer experiences. You will design and build scalable, cloud-native services that power personalization features used by millions of customers. You’ll work in a collaborative agile environment, partnering with product, data, and platform teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

– Strong expertise in Node.js / JavaScript (required)
– Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
– Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
– Containerization experience (Docker)
– Familiarity with Kubernetes
– Experience with relational databases
– CI/CD pipeline experience
– Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js
– Lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams
– Define architecture, perform design reviews, and conduct code reviews
– Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs
– Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
– Mentor engineers and promote best engineering practices
– Implement secure coding and cloud architecture standards
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end
– Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
