REQUIREMENTS

– 3+ years of experience with Python and Bash
– Hands-on experience with test automation using Python and PyTest
– Proficient in working with Linux environments
– Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) methodologies and tools (e.g., Gerrit, Jenkins)
– Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., UDP/TCP sockets)
– Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
– Proactive in learning and willingness to tackle complex, uncertain challenges
– Technical English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Communication Engineering
– Familiarity with networking protocols
– Experience in Docker/Qemu
– Hands-on experience with Ethernet switches and routers (e.g., Cisco, Arista, Juniper, or similar)
– Experience in creating comprehensive test plans
– Knowledge of Ansible for configuration automation
– Experience with hardware or software traffic generators (e.g., Ixia, Spirent, T-Rex, Ostinato, Scapy)
– Proficiency with Ethernet traffic analyzers (e.g., Wireshark, TCPDUMP)
– Familiarity with the SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) operating system

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Prototype and validate tech assumptions under mentor’s supervision
– Assist with feasibility checks and early-stage concept validation
– Share research and prototyping results through diagrams, drafts, and slide decks
– Create test cases and define test strategies
– Develop and execute automated tests
– Create and maintain clear, structured technical documentation for ongoing work
– Support cross-team coordination by providing timely updates and technical inputs
– Support pre-sale tasks: collecting requirements, preparing technical inputs, and presentation materials
