AQA Engineer (IoT) at MWDN

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are looking for a hands-on and meticulous QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our full-stack and IoT-based energy platform. This is a key role in scaling our IoT-based energy platform, integrating quality assurance processes into edge and cloud systems, and ensuring a reliable, secure, and maintainable product.

REQUIREMENTS

– 3+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) and testing, with a focus on web and cloud-based systems.
– Proven experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
– Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban) and best practices.
– Strong hands-on proficiency in a scripting language like Python for automation.
– Experience with testing full-stack applications (React and Python backends).
– Experience with testing IoT or embedded-connected systems in a production environment.
– Familiarity with database testing, particularly SQL.
– BSc in software engineering, computer engineering, or similar.
– Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
– Familiarity with AWS services, particularly those related to testing cloud-native applications (e.g., Lambda, IoT Core).
– Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases (manual and automated) for our full-stack software and embedded IoT systems.
– Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using Python for backend services and appropriate tools for the React (frontend) application.
– Conduct functional, regression, performance, and stress testing for systems integrating IoT devices, real-time data streams, and cloud-based analytics.
– Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and hardware teams to define quality requirements and ensure seamless system integration.
– Integrate test suites and best practices into the CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery of high-quality software.
– Identify, document, and track defects, working with the R&D team to ensure timely resolution.
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and Agile methodologies within the software team.
