ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are looking for Head of Cybersecurity, a jedi who will you set the direction for how security lives and scales across the company. You will work side by side with the business and product teams to turn security goals into practical, long-term ways of working that actually stick. You report directly to the CEO and build the cybersecurity function from the ground up while shaping the team, the processes, and the mindset that keep our products and data safe.

REQUIREMENTS

– Hold a relevant degree in IT, information security, or security, or demonstrate equivalent work experience.
– Bring proven information security experience in a complex organization (building/scaling a function is a strong advantage).
– Demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant security regulations and standards applicable to the business, across both corporate and product domains.
– Have hands-on experience with risk analysis, incident management, and audit/assurance activities.
– Manage stakeholders effectively and communicate clearly with executives/the board.
– Define KPIs, tooling strategy, incident protocols, and operating processes.
– Manage vendors and budgets confidently.
– Handle breaches, audits, and continuity scenarios with confidence.
– Operate both strategically and hands-on in an early-stage security function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Build the security program and governance model (policies, standards, processes, internal regulations).
– Identify, assess, and manage security risks; drive mitigation projects and track execution.
– Evaluate cybersecurity events and coordinate incident response and follow-ups.
– Select and implement security technologies and define operating procedures across different departments, from HR to engineering.
– Own security awareness and training programs; measure effectiveness.
– Establish and run access management processes (permissions reviews, privileged access, joiner/mover/leaver controls).
– Lead vendor/third-party security assessments and define security requirements in contracts.
– Provide regular security reporting to executive leadership and support business continuity planning.
– Design the hiring plan, defining roles, responsibilities, and process ownership as the team scales.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

– Home Office If you are comfortable working from home, then you can spend $150 on furnishing your workplace.
– Equipment If you can’t find something you like in our equipment base, we will provide up to $2,000 to purchase it.
– Coworking Compensation Each teammate, regardless of the term of work, is given $250 per month to pay for the co-working space.

– Budget for English If you need to improve your English, we will compensate 50% of the cost of classes per month.
– Budget for Ukrainian Speaking Ukrainian is amazing and we want to do it properly. So we compensate 50% of the course cost.
– Vacation You will have 18 days of paid vacation and the opportunity to carry over 10 days from last year.
– Sick Leave We are against working through fatigue and super effort, so you will have 15 days of paid sick leave.
