ABOUT THE PROJECT
Galaktica is a Ukrainian product IT company that creates and promotes its online projects on the world’s most affluent markets: the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK, and the EU. Our company and its main product have been operational for over 6 years. This product is profitable, allowing us to ensure the growth and development of our employees, scale, and invest in creating new internal startups.
REQUIREMENTS
– Minimum of 4 years of experience.
– Experience optimizing performance for high loads (RPS 100+).
– Strong expertise in NestJS and Node.js (microservices, REST, WebSocket).
– In-depth knowledge of TypeScript.
– Experience designing multithreaded, distributed systems.
– Experience with MySQL (complex queries, indexing, optimization).
– Knowledge of Redis (caching, pub/sub, queues).
– Experience working with REST APIs and integrations with third-party services.
– Skills in writing unit and integration tests (Jest).
– Basic knowledge of Docker and working with containers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– Development and support of backend services based on NestJS / Node.js.
– Integration with external APIs.
– Performance optimization of existing services.
– Development and support of queues, caches, and task schedulers.
– Documentation of APIs, data schemas, and technical implementations.
– Support service resilience and monitoring metrics.
– Collaboration with the frontend team, QA, and DevOps to achieve common results.
