Chief Technical Officer (Wellness) at Brainstack

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are Brainstack, a Ukrainian multi-product IT company, looking for a Chief Technical Officer in our Wellness team.

REQUIREMENTS

– 5+ years of software development experience or previous DevOps position preferred.
– Strong understanding of development processes.
– 2+ years in a CTO or 4+ years in Tech Lead / Head of Engineering roles.
– Proven experience in hiring, developing, and managing engineering teams.
– Practical experience with microservices architecture, DevOps practices, CI/CD, logging, monitoring.
– Understanding of high-load data management approaches.
– Familiarity with software architecture patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
– Knowledge of AI development tools and interest in AI technologies.
– Ability to make technical decisions, advocate for them, and communicate them to the team.
– Understanding of software deployment strategies.
– Product-oriented; fluent in English (B1-C2).

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Manage the technical team: Frontend, Backend, Mobile, DevOps, Infrastructure.
– Foster a technical culture and create a high-performance environment.
– Mentorship and performance control.
– Manage technical debt; establish a unified architectural strategy.
– Define the technology stack and development standards.
– Ensure operational security, logging, and monitoring.
– Maintain stability, scalability, and fault tolerance of the platform.
– Implement analytics, tracking, and logging.
